Do you?
All of it??
Think about the hats you wear.Think about your career. Think about home, and other commitments.
When we are at work, generally we have a team of people, covering all the different roles. Managers, labourers, data entry people, project managers, carpenters, nurses, doctors, researchers, etc, etc.
You get the picture there.
We are specialists to a degree in what we do. And we do it well.
So when we look at our everyday life what are we and what do we do?
Yup, we do it all! Or do we???
At home we can be parent, sibling, cook, cleaner, gardner, handyperson, a committee member, club president, partner, planner, organiser, mechanic, plumber, electrician, finance minister, seamstress, tailor, tutor, salesperson, writer, coach, supporter, etc, etc, etc.
And we try to do most of those things.
But think, we do delegate some things.
Some people get a cleaner in, they order in ready made meals, they call the plumber when they need, they use and app to help with household budgets, hire an accountant, send the car to the mechanic, read books on parenting. In essence they delegate.
Yet, when it comes to health and wellbeing, a lot of times we think, ah, I will buy a bike and ride! Grab some running shoes and start jogging! I will buy some weights and lift!
And then there is an expensive bike in the garage buried under stuff, a pair of expensive joggers that are now green due to just mowing the lawn in them and a home gym used as a clothes dryer through winter.
And then we feel guilty due to that.
There is a way to delegate. Well, more than one.
Get a coach.
Team up with some others.
Do both!
Doing both is the best option.
It is the best because you get the expertise of someone that is full time at what they are doing, coaching, (seriously always ask someone in the fitness space if this is their full time gig, they will be the best fit for you), and you get the accountability and fun of a group of people exercising together, regularly.
A fitness coach should be able to help you draw up a roadmap to your goals, whatever they are, and then guide you to them. They are the person you can delegate your fitness and wellbeing to. That way you won’t have an expensive towel rack in your spare room!
So I am saying to you today, if you have started and stopped before, if you have never started, then reach out, shoot me a message and we can have a simple conversation, and I know that you will walk away from that with a clear direction of what you need to do to get where you want to go!
